LCD is flickering, intel driver ignoring modeline? getting headache...

Is it flickering even if nothing changes on the screen?

Have you tried changing the refresh rate? Most LCDs like 60 Hz, not 75.

xrandr -r 60

Also, does changing the refresh rate to 30 Hz and back to 75 cause any 
visible effect?
