Screen output freezing after few hours of uptime

Dear all,

after some 60-120 minutes of uptime the screen output freezes. I say the
screen output freezes because /var/log/syslog is still maintained (I can
see SysRq keypresses + USB device plugging out/in in the log after the
incident, mouse is also responsive but that's the only thing that
changes on the screen after the incident.)

This happened twice today (using 4.10.0-32) but never before. I recall
having updated the kernel yesterday (via apt-get upgrade), I use
standard linux (no tweaks or whatever). I update regularly (every 2-4
days) and my most-recent installed kernel before the current is
4.10.0-30-generic, so I suppose the bug was not present in that one. I
was using the computer yesterday for the whole day, so it should have
appeared if it were there.

I chose to write you (of all people) because there is always a "radeon
drm" line in the call trace of syslog.
