It doesn't make sense to look at the max hdmi pixel for DP.
If we want to restrict the supported timings we should also make sure they only apply to Stoney and/or Carrizo. That said, are you sure 4k60 is an issue on all CZ/ST boards or is this particular to a certain platform?
