You might want to also mention that this switches from using
drm_dev_alloc() to drm_dev_init().  It might also be more helpful to
introduce the ADEV_TO_DRM() macro in a new prior patch so that the
diff for this change is smaller and easier to follow. That makes it
more obvious what the functional change is here.  A few comments
below, I think there is some component stuff leftover from debugging.
Other than that, it looks pretty good to me overall.
