two AMD cards failing with radeon driver

Sorry for the spam folks.
I didn't realize that the new amdgpu driver would work on that old
hardware. I'm using that driver now, hoping it will be more stable than
radeon. I'm not sure why Ubuntu is set up to use the radeon driver by
default.
