[AppStream] Why are kudos not defined in the spec

That's fine, but they will not be listed in the spec or any official
docs, nor handled by the other AppStream tools and are basically
invisible for other desktops than GNOME, which makes them much less
useful.
In any case, you are free to add whatever you want to the XML, ideally
being prefixed with "x-" or being part of the "custom" tag (doesn't
apply for the kudos tag, as this one is already widely used).

So, maybe you should add this to some GNOME specific page then.

In any case, as long as there are features useful for others, it would
be quite neat to work to make them available globally for everyone
(AFAIK kudos is the only GNOME-specific thing right now, together with
some Flatpak stuff that isn't relevant here).
