[AppStream] Metadata for community-provided components

Hi all,

I'm wondering what metadata I should be setting for user-supplied
unofficial components. My specific use case is where the hardware
vendor considers the device "end-of-life" and the community has
stepped forward with free software alternate firmware to keep the old
device secure, for instance installing coreboot on a very old Lenovo
X220. The easy thing would be <metadata><value
key="LVFS::IsCommunitySupported"/></metadata> but that seems like a
giant hack. Is this something that's been considered before? I'd like
to include the metadata somehow so I can add some translated
user-facing text explaining the situation *client side* rather than
just hardcoding it over-and-over in the generated release notes.
