[Authentication] Realmd 0.16.3 and CentOS 7

Hi all,

We are trying to switch from PowerBroker Open to realmd/sssd in our CentOS 7 environment, and I’m trying to use 0.16.3 to take advantage of the “computer-name” feature that was recently introduced (our hostnames are much longer than 15 characters).

I can build and install realmd on CentOS 7, but when I try to run any realmd commands, it just hangs.  Running “systemctl status realmd” gives this:

When I use the realmd 0.16.1 RPM provided by RedHat, it works fine – but since the first 15 characters of all our servers in a given class are the same, I can’t join more than one to the domain at a time.

Any thoughts on a) getting realmd 0.16.3 to work or b) another way of specifying the computer name with 0.16.1 would be most appreciated!
