Yes, we'd like to add this to avahi, replacing the current python
scripts. Please recognize the recommendations in docs/HACKING when
working on Avahi.

I can give you SVN access so that you can commit your stuff on your
own behalf. Are you interested?

Please try to match the CLI of the python version of
avahi-publish-service as closely as possible, so that the transition
is seemless and we can reuse the man pages.
