Would you consider the following change:
Rename GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in to
GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in.in
and change Makefile.am to
serversdir = $(libdir)/bonobo/servers/
servers_in_files = GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in
servers_DATA = $(servers_in_files:.server.in=.server)
@INTLTOOL_SERVER_RULE@
GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in:
GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in.in
sed -e 's, at bindir\@,$(bindir),g' -e
's, at iconsdir\@,$(ICONSDIR),g' $< > $@
EXTRA_DIST = GNOME_ServiceDiscoveryApplet.server.in.in
CLEANFILES = $(servers_DATA) $(servers_in_files)
