[avahi] Avahi and CUPS?

I can't get over this.  But it's the sort of thing I have come to
expect from the CUPS people.  Their slogan:

   CUPS!  It's better than that other Unix printer package...

Thanks for doing this digging; I couldn't have learned this easily on
my own.
