I have 3 machines on my network
192.168.101.2 mini.local Mac OS X 10.4.6 Server
192.168.101.21 necam.local Mac OS X 10.4.6
192.168.101.1 peachgrove.local FreeBSD 6.1-STABLE
From my macintosh's terminal application, I can launch a mini
zeroconf/bnojour service browser.
Here's a screencap:

This browser begins the process of broadcasting looking for services
such as ssh
the two macintoshes answer quite quickly.
Avahi running on FreeBSD (peachgrove.local) however seems to take a
very long time before it pops up in the list like so:

I ran ethereal to see what was going on behind the scenes.
Here's a screencap from ethereal:

Do you see how quickly the Bonjour services responded on the
macintoshes vs the time avahi on FreeBSD gave a response?
Do I have something configured incorrectly?
Any thoughts?
thanks,
