[avahi] avahi 0.6-14 in suse 10.2 doesn't attempt to join multicast

Hello Trent,
  This might have been patched. I would suggest opening a bug at
bugzilla.novell.com, making clear you are one of upstream developers for
Avahi.

  I can help you follow up, but I would like to see what the package
maintainer (I am not sure who it is -- I know a couple of developers
working on *new* patches, not sure who pokes at autobuild for the rpm)
tells you ;-)
