[avahi] Problem seeing available services

Usually this is because the Firestarter firewall is installed and blocks 
Avahi's packets by default. The solution is to add an allow rule for UDP 
port 5353.

If that doesn't seem to be the case, see whether
   /sbin/iptables -vL
shows the existence of any firewall rules.
