[avahi] Wide Area Avahi with dynamic service updates

Hi folks,

I'm currently planning to setup a Wide Area Bonjour service under
Linux and already tried to use the dnsextd from Apple's Bonjour
opensource page (current CVS version).
But as I have major problems with the daemon which does not behave as
expected I was wondering if Avahi is already functional to support
Wide Area Bonjour with LLQ and all the stuff. Are there any news to
it, will it just work with all normal Macintosh client?
