[avahi] Feature request for mac addresses

Since avahi can be used to resolve local hostnames
..and since avahi can also "see" mac addresses
..and since there are more and more iPhones, iPads, Internet Radios, PS3, etc reported as "unknown" by dhcp/dns servers

Suggest a function of the form:

Avahi-resolve -e [mac address]

..that would return the ip address and hostname (if one exists) of devices on the local network
..and in conjunction with /etc/ethers, would recognize a hostname assigned to a mac address by the user where a hostname does not exist
..and thus "ping hostname_for_an_internet_radio" would work via avahi
