[avahi] What does it mean - invalid response packet from host <ip address>

I am on a medium size corporate network running ubuntu 11.04 x64. Avahi version is 0.6.30

I see syslog overflowing with messages like this. I get many messages every second. Many different ip addresses seems to offend avahi daemon, not just 1-2. My question is what do these messages mean? Are they incompatibility notice I can safely ignore  or something is really broken?
