[avahi] Avahi reflector question

I am considering using Avahi in a simple WAN environment depicted in
the following diagram.

    LAN 1 LAN 2 LAN 3 LAN 4 LAN 5 LAN 6
      | | | | | |
      | | | | | |
      | | | | | |
    ---------- ---------- ----------
    | Router | | Router | | Router |
    ---------- ---------- ----------
         | | |
         | | |
         | | |
---------- Bus Topology Backbone LAN --------

Each router is a Linux box running Avahi. There will be both service
publishers and service providers on LANs 1,2,3,4,5,6 with service
users on LAN 1 using services provided by equipment on LANs 3-6 etc.
My intent is for service providers to use NAT-PMP to request a
backbone LAN NAT'd IP address from the router and to then advertise
that IP address/port number.

I would like mDNS publish messages (messages that would update mDNS
'database') reflected across the backbone LAN so that Avahi running on
each router will have repository of services etc. I think the Avahi
reflector is meant exactly for this purpose.

However, I don't want discovery/browse type messages reflected across
the backbone LAN. I want to conserve backbone bandwidth (it is a lower
speed bus topology network). Wondering if this make sense to do, if
Avahi currently supports this (or if there are plans to support this),
or if you think this might be an easily added feature.

Regards and thanks in advance,

Mark

BTW - Apologies in advance my certain misuse of terminology
