[avahi] Wide Area

Hello all,

I would like to know if the Wide Area is standardized on a RFC or
where it is defined.

Does anyone have already configured a Wide Area server and where I can
have pointers for that.
I have been searching on google, on www.dns-sd.org page (where they
have a few explanations for Bonjour).

Does avahi have any tutorial or anything related with wide area usage ?

I have found on http://avahi.org/wiki/AboutAvahi this information

Wide area DNS-SD support (read-only for now)

Does it mean that we can only get the services published on wide area,
but we can cannot update or create new ones, right ?

Is there any update regarding this ?
