<<<< I'm sending the above as directed by the messages generated when I tried
to start gnome-wm on a vncserver window from an xterm window in it.
This may all be bogus because I was just trying to get something nicer than TWM
started on my vncserver set up, and I'm not savvy enough to figure out
what's going wrong with launching my vncserver.
X11vnc works on my server running debian (etch), but not vncserver. It's
vncserver 3.3.7-14.
Can anyone tell me which programs need to be launched to give me a vncserver
screen that looks like the console screen one gets by running startx?
or where to find a good tutorial?

Thank you for your patience.
Regards, Gerald Przybylski
