[cairo] new pattern API now in CVS

I've now commited the new pattern API to cairo CVS. 

The demos have also been updated so that they don't seg fault when using
cairo_set_pattern.

Radial patterns are not fully implemented yet, the inner circle is
currently ignored. I hope to get this working pretty soon though.

Now that we've got the pattern API in cairo, I'll also be able to commit
the OpenGL backend very soon.
