I can see uses for non-antialiased rendering aside from simple performance
concerns.  One obvious reason is to ensure the generation of real monochrome
output for printers.  Right now, PS output looks 'fuzzy' as my printer 
attempts to dither the edges of each object.  Eliminating the gray pixels 
at the edges of objects would make them look sharper.
