Sorry, I reported this incorrectly. lixml2 checking is in place and 
working fine, I messed up my installation notes. Only the other two are 
failing (checking for libjpeg and libpng12.)
If you are trying to build from cvs on Debian/Ubuntu just aptget

libxml2-dev
libpng12-dev
libjpeg-dev

And be happy.
