Adding documentation is always a good thing. If things are still
experimental, they should be marked as such in the documentation, but
we definitely shouldn't "punish" backends by not including
documentation just because they are still experimental. That would be
counter-productive.

The documentation has some bigger problems than that. As you've
noticed, it's not even building nicely right now, (or has gtk-doc
finally picked up the necessary patch to be able to handle
cairo_public?). So the automatic publishing to the web isn't happening
right now.

We need to come up with a good strategy for publishing the manuals of
various release of cairo on the website, (as well as including version
information for functions that have been added after the 1.0 release).

So there's a bunch of new planning here that needs to be done prior to
1.2, (the first post-1.0 major release), but hopefully things will be
easier for each major release after that since we'll have a plan to
follow rather than having to create something new.
