[cairo] Cairo 1.2 and pdf text - Help !!

Ok, you're right. At least on an 32 bit system. I've just rebuild the
cairo-1.2.0 rpm on a fedora 5 32 bit system and everything works !!

The problem has something to do with 64 bit compilation (I forgot to
mention: I'm using fc5 x86_64).

I've investigated further, and discovered that:
 - if I remove the code to generate the text the file generated on a 32
bit and 64 platform are identical
 - the problem seems to be with the truetype font embedded and
compressed (through the compress function from zlib) in the document. In
fact that area seems about twice as long (it is compressed, so direct
comparation is useless)
 - attached are examples of 32 bit and 64 bit generated pdf files
