From the testing I've been doing on the n770 I've seen the performance
of the text tests all improve, from as little as 1.01x to as much as
1.77x with these three patches.

The tests that improve the least are those that have linear and radial
gradients, (where it's not surprising that the gradient computation is
still overwhelming any benefit from the reduced floating-point
computation in these patches).
