Thanks for the feedback.
I've taken those points into consideration, (thanks StackedGit!) now
and pushed out the addition of the perceptualdiff code to test/pdiff.
Right now its hooked into the configure scripts so that there is a
Makefile generated for test/pdiff, but nothing happens there unless
you go into test/pdiff and execute "make perceptualdiff".
And even if you do that, the test suite doesn't use this program at
all.
I'm hoping Dan might take things from here and run with them.
