[cairo] Serious concerns about cairo

I do want to say one thing a lot of the stuff I'm intrested in
exposing as a public api already exists internally in cairo I've
actually not run into anything yet that cairo does not have support
for internally and by internally I mean below the cairo.c wrapper.
So the guts of cairo seem to be in good shape the performance has
improved a lot and it sounds like it will improve a lot more soon. And
the internal engine seems to have a lot more ability then is now
exposed. The back side api for pluging into rendering systems is
pretty good and is designed to allow accleration which is to my
knowledge a first for public 2D graphics libraries.
I like the concept of a cairo_t over traditional postscript style
apis. Most of the api is reasonable and well thought and it solves a
lot of hard graphics drawing problems.

I'm a big fan of cairo I want to see it become the best 2D api around.

Now back to bitching :)
