I've made a second release-candidate snapshot for what I'd like to
become cairo 1.4.6:

http://cairographics.org/snapshots/cairo-1.4.5-20070427-a392cc.tar.gz

Since the last snapshot a week ago, this one adds native PDF
gradients, (thanks Miklós and Adrian!), and a nice speedup for
geometry that's partially off the destination surface, (think extreme
zoom-ins for example). This fix will be quite nice for people using X
servers, since most have a bug in this area in which the X server
computes an overly large mask and does useless rasterization. Check
out this speedup:

 xlib-rgba   long-lines-uncropped-100  545.84 -> 5.83: 93.09x speedup
██████████████████████████████████████████████
 xlib-rgb    long-lines-uncropped-100  554.74 -> 8.10: 69.04x speedup
██████████████████████████████████

As usual, if people on less-frequently tested platforms, (win32),
could double-check this snapshot, that would be great.

Then I'll plan on writing up full release notes and releasing 1.4.6 on
Monday, (if nobody identifies any showstopper issues before then).
