Argg, my coworker just told me it wasn't fixing his problem with fonts
being corrupted (see http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=28317 ) but
he is running on x86-64 so my fix might be incomplete.

I'll be unable to work on this until Monday. Sorry.
