[cairo] make install

Hello all,
 
I downloaded cairo 1.4.10 and manage to compile it in AIX 5.2 with help from Chris.
 
I also ran the make install and it seems to copy all the files to the intended places.  But when I go to smit i am not able to see the package!!
 
Also when i try to compile pango it says i cannot find CAIRO!!.
 
Could anyone help how to install using make install properly, so it will get reflected in smit?
