I am a big fan of cmake and the first thing I did after I downloaded cairo and ran the configure script (to make a config.h) is create a cmake project file. The two best IDEs (Codeblocks & Visual Studio) depend on project files that can be created by cmake. Just my 2 cents. -- Jason G
