Hmm, seems like we don't have a link to the full ChangeLog. The NEWS
(which comprise the release notes) is meant to be sufficient for
distributors and end-users to determine what has changed and, perhaps
more importantly, the bugs fixed in each release.

The full history for the 1.8 branch can be found in the git repo:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/cairo/log/?h=1.8

Carl recently introduced a policy of uploading the API reference for
each stable release to http://cairographics.org/manual-X.Y.Z/ Note, for
the time being the archives are incomplete.

Indeed, I've just added a couple of bugs so hopefully we may find a bit
of time to improve the website/documentation before 1.10.

This sounds reminiscent of
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9148 - invalid rendering
when painting large scaled-down surfaces. I added a couple of
workarounds to reduce the likelihood of triggering this error (but the
artefact is still being exercised by test/scale-offset*) but as it was a
rather intrusive and ugly patch it did not warrant being backported to
the 1.8 branch. I am interested to know whether you encounter similar
difficulties with the current tip of the master branch.

I hope this helps and you have fun using Cairo.
