I've been discussing doing a cairo-gallium as a GSoC project. Sounds like
Andrea is going to have fun doing HDR and colorspaces for pixman for his
Master's thesis. So remaining from the usual suspects for interesting
projects would be research into an improved tessellator/rasteriser,
implementing GPU offload of paths, pixman-jit, user-defined end-caps,
more line-join/cap styles, Distance from medial axis sample coordinates?
I can think of a few other tasks but those would be out-of-scope for GSoC.
So cairo-gallium I think is a relatively easy sell given how widely
advertised gallium is, and I was contemplating using the Xorg Foundation
as its mentoring organisation, since it will be cross-project.
