[cairo] Cairo on iOS

I am trying to build Cairo with Quartz backend for iOS 4.2 - at this
point for iOS simulator.
I don't seem to be able to find a combination of flags that actually
works. With most combinations I get a ton of errors related to unknown
symbols.

Does anyone have a successful set of environment variables/configuration
options that would make configure work and cairo build on this platform?

Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
