Most of this info is available here:
http://www.openclipart.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?FAQ
In short, Jon and I started the project so we've kind of split the lead
role; Jon's been doing most of the lead stuff lately. I was managing
the releases for most of the early releases, but Jonadab, Nicu, Jon, and
others have stepped in and taken over that role since early this year.
In general though, we keep things pretty informal and friendly. Each
person has some areas of interest that they put time into, and that
shifts over time. Each script has a defined maintainer who reviews and
applies patches, and handles releases, but it's common for others to do
work on each other's code and send in patches.
The main challenge we deal with is that for each of us, our available
time varies, so we try to be cognizant of that and adapt the work to
fit. The goal is to produce a release every single month, and in each
release try to make it a little better organized than the one before,
and if there's some flaws, we just try to do better the next time
around. :-)
I'd strongly suggest skimming through the mail archive
(http://lists.freedesktop.org/pipermail/clipart/) to get a flavor for
some of the past discussions. Also, there's a lot of collective
knowledge accumulated in the Wiki (esp. concensus on items discussed in
the mail threads), so I'd encourage browsing through that a bit if you
haven't already, and definitely add to anything there that could use it.
