I suspect most folks using BitTorrent have bzip2 installed also, so
that is probably the best option, from a bandwidth perspective.

It would be interesting to find out whether we have enough people
downloading our releases yet to make a torrent move faster than the
straight http download.  Trying it may be the easiest way to find out.
