[Clipart] [Fwd: Tech Icons]

I'm not certain that Adobe is adding a bitmap thumbnail in this case.

I've downloaded the SVG and opened it in Adobe, and the icons themselves
appear to me to be bitmapped images.

If these were originally vector drawings in Adobe, then the save process
has somehow converted them into bitmapped images.

iedesign, if you'd like to you can email me the original AI file, and I
can see if I can help sort out how to sae from Adobe without the
bitmaps.

My method so far involves saving SVG from AI, and it does NOT include
any bitmaps (unless I accidently use a bitmap filter) and then I open it
in Inkscape and save as "Plain SVG" which cleans out all the Adobe
created by blah blah blah, and makes the file even smaller and cleaner.

Illustrator does something nasty with SVG files by making a bitmap
thumbnail of the image embedded in the SVG, thus producing a monstrous
file. This can be fixed by opening in Inkscape and pruning out this by
hand atm unfortunately.

Does anyone have a script to prune out this stuff and/or want to make
one? That would be a cool task...
