[colord] colord does not start automatically in gnome-3.10.x

I've compiled gnome-3.10.x from source, but starting gnome-session starts the required daemons except for colord.

The error log is pasted below, I'd be grateful for any trouble-shooting hints or details of how to start colord manually.

This is with colord-1.0.4 and gnome-settings-daemon-3.10.2
