[colord] colord 1.2.11 breaks color management in Gnome

Hi,

I'm using Gentoo, and the relevant package versions are:
colord 1.2.11
gnome-color-manager 3.16.0
gnome-settings-daemon 3.16.2 [-r1]

My ICC profile works in the GDM login screen, but does not work in the
user session.

This seems to be broken by
https://github.com/hughsie/colord/commit/17bf0f8d72e5b2d5c997dbc26d9565b5270fc29a.

1. GDM successfully creates xrandr-LVDS for user gdm.
2. My session tries to create xrandr-LVDS as my user, but gets an error.
3. The device is not visible to my session, as it is not owned by my user.

Is there something wrong with my configuration?
Should colord allow creating a device with the same ID and different owner?
