Here you can see one of the colord clients requesting the EDID, and the kernel driver is returning less than 128 bytes -- which isn't a valid EDID.

I think your best action might be to file a bug with your distro to find a workaround -- there's not much we can do to debug the non-free driver I'm afraid.
