I'm hoping that http://www.go-compiz.org/ can be made into a nice
community site.

It's definitely going to continue to be developed. I'll try to write an
initial road map within the next few days and I'll send it to the list
so it can be discussed and we can then hopefully put a road map at
go-compiz.org that all can agree is the best way to move forward.
