[compiz] Too difficult to resize window!

The area over the window's border where the cursor changes to a resize 
cursor for me is just one pixel!!
I always spent half a minute just trying to get the cursor over this 
exact spot so to resize a window. Half the time when i click the mouse 
its moved and i've missed :-(

Is there some way to configure this area to make it easier to resize a 
window? (I didn't have this problem before using compiz).
