Yes thank you. His remark was a wrong one at the wrong time for me.
I;m really trying to keep up to date, I've just followed a discussion on 
the dbus list about
session versus user based sessions, trying to contribute to these kind 
of discussions which I consider not so easy,
writing my own software (sort of userfriendly workplace like GoboLinux 
with very easy access to all kinds of resources (local like USB devices, 
and remote like SMB shares and FTP servers) based on a fuse filesystem 
and the automounter). I've tried to get others interest...not much luck 
so far.
It's like gnome vfs, but then on the filesystem level, not application.
Working on enabling inotify with fuse - still thinking how to do that- 
it's an difficult one. It looks as if I'm the only one really 
interested, and I mean really the only. Fuse in combination with inotify 
is still an idea, nohing more.

Then someone saying I'm living under a rock is just nonsense.
