[CREATE] large files in library

Greetings,

As you see [1], some files in a library can be quite large.

What do you think about modularization? We could provide a basic
package and multiply "special" packages with their own scons install
scripts, divided by some criterionю

What criterion do you think would be more appropriate? Сategory?
Vendor? Something else?
