It's a matter of workflow. Once you have a decent images collection
manager you rarely copy files using file manager. You either backup
them on CD/DVD or export to some other directory. And then all of
separately available metadata can easily be copied along.

P.S. I quite puzzled if this a discussion for create@ or libopenraw-devel@ :-)
