This would definitely ease the pressure on the local budget (and on the
local organisers!).

Add to that the supper with a deadline for tickets just as they do it in
France for RMLL and you’re off with a zero deficit, and much easier process
on the local organisers, which is great! :-)

I support the idea of having a way of buying those items direclty on the
web!

Solving the money issue will result in having a secure server which in turn
will help manage more elegantly the personal data we need to gather to
process the reimbursements. I am all for it!

As for the preferred tools, I leave that up to you guys. This is out of my
field of competence! :-)

p.s. Suggestion for the Create Mailing List set-up. The "reply-to" should be
the Create list and not the sender of the message. Is that possible? If you
don’t hit "reply to all" you end-up talking to the sender only and then you
realize this and then you send your message again... My 2-cents. :-)
