A meeting to expose and debate the current state of Graphic Creation
software on Linux. We should talk about available software and
features, focusing on the large and mostly production ready
applications like GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus and Blender. One subject is
whether these applications are production ready for real world tasks,
their strong and weak points, and what are the missing key features.
What should be done so that more professional users can try a Linux
Desktop with a fully integrated Graphics Design software suite. How to
get in touch with the developers of these applications and cooperate
with feedback, contracts for development of features and so on. This
discussion is interesting for designers and businnesmen trying to
spread Linux usage in design, video and publishing markets - they
should learn of the current possibilities with Linux on the desktop,
and the contact channels to to have more features implemented.
