Canvas rotation is so useful for artists that people like Animtim and Deevad rig up game controllers to easily rotate while painting :-)

Krita has split views, but in a limited way -- only horizontal _or_ vertical splits, and only one document per window. It's also buggy enough that I'm considering removing it.
