I do not know what this particular article says in detail - but it is
about an illusion i discovered this summer, which also made
appearances in pop.sci. sections in parts of many print and online
media in the following couple of months, for a little bit more
information, see https://www.patreon.com/posts/color-grid-28734535

I have vague ideas about why it works, when devising it I based it on
knowledge and fascination of how other illusions that do work are
using interesting properties of our visual systems. I enjoy that some
of the worlds acclaimed academic visual illusionists are incorporated
some of the new knoledge from this discovery in their new eperiments.
